The Whip Cracker first published in 1997 follows the story of Mick from his youth in the rural area of Darwin to a life travelling around Australia.

This story depicts a light hearted, action filled life of a young Australian who is keen to preserve and promote the culture and history that stockwhips represent, not only as a tool that is used by Australian stockmen, but for sporting and social recreation.
